The events listed below are a timeline for the Lamenters since Inception with some of their history intertwined. Events listed in Blue are of my own design to fit into the background of the various units I have created.

- 36.M Lamenters Founded. 21st Founding. "Cursed Founding".
- 998.M36 Lamenters founding research facility is sealed and all evidence of their creation is supposedly destroyed.
- 36.M 5th Company Captain Julian Hildan cutd down an Eldar Warlock in hand to hand combat giving rise to the 5th Company symbol of a black lightning bolt on a blood red field.
- 37.M Chapter departs towards Imperial Borders to avoid corruption and the stigma of the 21st Founding.
- 901.M38 Chapter suffers its first ever instance of the "Red Thirst". Sepulchery Guard is formed by the Chapter leadership to watch for signs of failure in the genome. However no more instances are recorded.
- 39.M Chapter recalled by Highlords with other Chapters to stem flow of incursions from the Eye of Terror.
- 499.M41 Responding to a distress call, the Lamenters find themselves coming to the rescue of the Dark Angels 4th Company who are under attack from Chaos Cultists on the supposed stable Hive World of Deloga. Stormraven gunship "Arterial" is commissioned by Chapter Master Alexious Comnae.
- 502.M41 Lamenters Chapter Master Alexious Comnae is struck down by a sniper shell at the Palace of Mirrors on Teli Secondus. Chapter mourns his loss deeply.
- 587.M41 Chapter assigned to the Maelstrom Zone.
- 698.M41 Calix Antonius rallies and saves the remains of the 5th Company after a misplaced dropod mission resulting in the destruction of an Ork Stronghold.
- 701.M41 Corinth Crusade participation.
- 722.M41 Lamenters are rewarded with 18 new pattern Razorbacks from the Forges of Juric Secundus after defending it from an attack by Ork Pirates. The same attack saw the destruction of the Strike Cruiser "Fallen Glorius."
- 799.M41 Calix Antonius awarded "Red Heart of Baal" for actions saving 42 Battle Brothers after loss of the Strike Cruiser "Triumphant Valor". This brings total losses of Strike Cruisers now to two since their appointment to the Maelstrom Zone.
- 812.M41 The Lamenters petition successfully for the building of 3 heavily modified Strike Cruisers to undertake extended operations in the Maelstrom Zone. The news is welcomed by the Astral Claws who continue to ask for continued support from Segmentum Command for the region. The Lamenters offically become the naval fighting arm of the Maelstrom forces after 851.M41 when they are delivered. "Clarions Call", "Judgementus" and "Executioners Sorrow" are immediately pushed into service to repel a Chaos strike force that has amassed near the Pale Stars.
- 804.M41 Birth of Draco Flintloque.
- 904.M41 Sagan Battles against Loyalist Marine forces.
- 908.M41 Chapter surrenders to the Minotaurs after defeat.
- 914.M41 Penitnent Crusade Announced. Lamenters are sent on a 100 years crusade to prove their devoution to the Emperor.
- 922.M41 Imperial Fists Epistolary Khira assigned to the Deathwatch. Events of Helios IV bring Draco Flintloque into a dispute with the Imperial Fists.
- 922.M41 Calix Primus Eros dies at the hands of Jurtodila the Slayer, Champion of Khorne. He is replaced by Calix Primus Soutenir.
- 955.M41 Kralos Prime Incursion. Lamenters return to Crusade Strength for the first time since their defeat in the Badab War. Death of Captain Naxos 5th Company Captain. Veteran Sergeant Fernec takes acting role of Captaincy of the 5th Company.
- 958.M41 Captain Konstantin takes command of the 5th Company.
- 974.M41 Cardis Campaign against Ork Warlord Jimza.
- 980.M41 First sighting of "The Lamentor". Sergeant Miksa is promoted to 3rd Squad, 5th Company Sergeant. Secrecy over "The Lamentor" begins.
- 990.M41 Elements of the Lamenters and Ravenguard work together to plant fusion charges deep within the Space Hulk "Heart of Darkness". Ravenguard Terminator Marines award Veteran Sergeant Banat with the "Ebon Feather" for his actions in saving 10 Ravenguard Terminators.
- 992.M41 Lamenters Chapter receives a rare battle honor from the Dark Angels Chapter allowing a sword to be wielded by a member of the Ravenwing to passed to a member of the Lamenters First Company.
- 992.M41 Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor Taipan is called to investigate an archaelogical dig on the planet Venus in the Sol System. After months of work he sets out to a special hearing of the Ordo Conclave. The discussion at the Conclave becomes a subject of scruitiny by agents of the Adeptus Biologis. Results of the Conclave are sealed by the High Lords, Taipan is declared a fool and banished, he and his retinue begin the task of searching for the Lamenters.
- 998.M41 Hive Fleet Kraken begins to enter the Malvolion System. Scythes of the Emperor and Lamenters Chapter respond to distress calls.
- 999.M41 Chapter Master Dante of the Blood Angels acknowledges that the Lamenters may have been destroyed after their failure to appear when summoned to Baal. Blood Angel agents and several scouting missions fail to turn up any evidence of survivors from Hive Fleet Kraken.
